SNP MP Angus MacNeil will be flying the St George\'s Cross tomorrow (Friday) from his office in Stornoway on what is the last working day before St. George\'s Day.
Angus MacNeil MP Mr MacNeil said: "I'm doing this as a mark of respect for ournearest neighbours, England, and the many English people now living inour constituency who voted SNP. "I feel its important thatEngland and its culture should be celebrated on St. George's Day andthat's why on the last working day before it, two St. George's Crosseswill be fluttering from the windows of my office in Stornoway. "I also feel it is important that we as Scots recognize theachievements of our neighbours. In an international world with thegrowth of independent nations it is of mutual advantage to all nationsconcerned that we celebrate the various cultures involved." ENDS |
